I'm getting behind.....Friday we went to the Markets of Traian, which was made up of offices, a forum public area, and some markets. Unlike most of the forums, it is still partly intact, so it's really cool to walk around and imagine what it must have been like. It was also amazingly uncrowded, especially considering that it seemed more fascinating than the scattered ruins that people crowd into.

I love this - reminds me of the Agora in Athens with respect to being able to really envision how it must have been. And there you are in the doorway - how many people before you have stood right there? So cool!
